Michael Fray - Principal
Thank you Grand Blanc Community for the opportunity to serve as your high school principal. I come to Grand Blanc with a variety of experiences during my 13 years in public education. My most recent experience has been serving as an assistant principal at Walled Lake Central High School. Included in my responsibilities at Central were a two year period of being the building athletic coordinator, as well as administrative support of special services, mathematics and science classrooms. Prior to my time in Walled Lake, I served as the dean of students at Huron Valley’s Lakeland High School. In this role I was responsible for student discipline and at-risk student intervention. Finally, I began my career in education as a high school mathematics teacher and football coach at Huron Valley’s Milford High School.
While not a Grand Blanc native, I am a lifelong Genesee County resident. I attended both Flint Kearsley and Flushing Public Schools. After graduating from Flushing High School, I attended Michigan State University; earning a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a teaching endorsement for Secondary Chemistry and Mathematics. I furthered my education by earning a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University.
Grand Blanc Schools has a tradition of excellence that can only be established by hard working students, dedicated staff and a supportive community. I am excited to be a part of such an amazing place and look forward to helping the students of Grand Blanc actualize their own unique genius.
